From Mission to Message: Building a Communications Plan That Actually Works

Facilitator: Lena Perez, JFNA

Strong communications doesn't begin with deciding what to post next. It begins with understanding the impact your organization creates, the audiences you need to reach, and the role you want them to play in your story.

In this practical, interactive session, participants will move from inspiration to strategy to execution - reconnecting with why their communications work matters, building a simple messaging framework around impact, stories, data and gratitude, and translating that strategy into sustainable communications plans for both participants and donors.

Designed for organizations of all sizes and levels of marketing capacity, participants will leave with a framework they can immediately use to create clearer, more consistent and more effective communications.

Round 2

From Priorities to Value Delivery: Aligning Plans & Resources

Facilitator: Jack Goihman

Many organizations have more priorities than people, hours, and funding to deliver them. This interactive workshop helps participants connect what they value to what they fund, when they fund it, and what it will take to deliver.

Participants will explore how different areas of work support strategic goals, map programs and projects onto a shared annual calendar, and consider the return on investment of each project in terms of community outcomes, mission alignment, and use of resources. The session will offer a practical approach to making decisions about what to fund, when to deliver it, and how to align those choices with purpose.
