The Jewish Museum & Archives of BC (JMABC) is delighted to introduce Creative Studio: Archives as Art, a new three-part workshop series that brings together the richness of our archival collections and the possibilities of creative expression.

Join us for the first workshop in the series, Writing from the Archives: Fiction and Poetry, on November 22nd, 1-3 p.m. at the Isaac Waldman Library.

What can an old photograph, handwritten recipe, or a scribbled note spark in your imagination?
Enjoy a relaxed writing workshop that uses fascinating archival materials as unexpected creative prompts.

Suggested for ages 12+

Writing experience is not necessary—just bring your curiosity. We'll provide snacks and tea, with optional sharing time at the end.

We can’t wait to see you there!
