Please join us for a special screening of our documentary, THE HOLLYWOOD RABBI, on Wednesday, September 9th. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Billy Crystal, President Bill Clinton, Governor Gavin Newsom, Ted Sarandos, Montana Tucker, and many others. Later this year, the film will be released worldwide on Netflix.

This documentary tells the remarkable story of Rabbi Marvin Hier's life journey, from the Lower East Side of Manhattan to Vancouver to the heart of Hollywood and global leadership. Along the way, he became Frank Sinatra’s personal rabbi, earned two Academy Awards, and engaged with an extraordinary circle including four Kings, three Popes, and eight U.S. Presidents. Rabbi Hier also served as Rabbi of Schara Tzedeck Congregation from 1964 to 1977 before founding the Simon Wiesenthal Center and becoming one of the most influential Jewish leaders of our time.

At its' core, the film delivers a timely and universal message: without tolerance, we cannot have a world.

This film has been a true passion project, and we are pleased to share it with our Vancouver community. Rabbi Hier, along with director Jon Kean and producers Brad and Susie Belzberg Krevoy, will be in attendance and introduce the film.
