Join us for a meaningful and relaxed Shabbat gathering in a beautiful barn setting on Salt Spring Island. We will welcome Shabbat together with songs, community, and a festive shared potluck alongside a catered main dish. Bring your favourite vegetarian Shabbat dish to share with the community as we gather in warmth, connection, and celebration.
We are honoured to welcome Rabbi Arik Labowitz, a spiritual leader, educator, and musician rooted in the Jewish Renewal tradition. He currently serves as Rabbi of Or Shalom in Vancouver. Born into a family of rabbis and shaped by years of study in Israel and North America, he brings a deeply inclusive and heartfelt approach to Jewish learning and community. With over two decades of leadership—including his years at Congregation Eitz Or—Rabbi Arik continues to guide communities across the West Coast through teaching, music, and meaningful Shabbat experiences.
This is a family-friendly evening open to adults, children, and seniors alike—an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and share Shabbat across generations in a warm, natural setting.
